Mary Page talks with Anna Bowles, a freelance editor working for publishing houses in central London. Anna holds an MA in Russian Studies from the School of Slavonic and Eastern European Studies in London. She is also a writer and recently published a YA novel about a girl with bipolar disorder and an attitude. Anna is also a pro-Ukrainian activist. In late March to April of this year she spent two weeks in east and south Ukraine, with her friends from the Freefilmers NGO, interviewing local people – especially women in rural communities – about their experiences and survival strategies. Anna blogged regularly about her trip (see also on our website here) and the blog fundraiser supports the people she met.
NB Rights in Russia is not connected with Anna’s fundraising work.
