

Mary Page talks with Professor Bill Bowring who teaches human rights and international law at Birkbeck College University of London. As a practicing barrister, Professor Bowring has, since 1992, represented many applicants in cases before the European Court of Human Rights. He has been an advisor and expert consultant for the UN, the Council of Europe, the OSCE, and the UK government. Significantly, he is founder in 2003 of the European Human Rights Advocacy Centre which partners with local attorneys and NGOs in Russia, Ukraine, Georgia, Azerbaijan and Armenia in bringing cases to the European Court of Human Rights.
