
Natalya Taubina lives in Moscow and is director of the Public Verdict Foundation. A graduate of the Faculty of Cybernetics of the Moscow Physics-Engineering Institute (1993) Natalya Taubina has worked in the field of human rights since 1992, initially with the Russian Research Center for Human Rights. In 1997 she became director of the Foundation for Civil Society and since 2004 has been director of the Public Verdict Foundation. Natalya Taubina also works as a trainer on international human rights protection mechanisms and strategic planning for NGOs, and in this capacity runs seminars for Russian NGOs. Natalya Taubina participates in a number of international forums (for example, the World Conference against Racism, sessions of the UN Commission on Human Rights, the UN Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, the UN Human Rights Committee and the OSCE Human Dimension Implementation Meetings). She has been served as an expert for charitable foundations such as Eurasia Foundation, International Fellowship Program of the Ford Foundation, Fulcrum Foundation and Charities Aid Foundation in developing and implementing analytical surveys, evaluations and research. Natalia Taubina is the author of numerous publications on human rights and the work of NGOs. She is a member of the Expert Council of the Human Rights Ombudsman of the Russian Federation.
