Melanie Moore began her career translating Soviet and then Russian media for BBC Monitoring before moving into literary translation. She has translated a number of novels from Russian, including Margarita Khemlin’s The Investigator and Dina Rubina’s Leonardo’s Handwriting. She is co-translator with Clare Kitson of the second volume of Solzhenitsyn’s memoirs of life abroad: Between Two Millstones.
