
Maria Razumovskaya is a project coordinator at the Legal Training Centre based in St Petersburg where she leads international projects, implemented jointly with the English charity CWI, on raising the professional standards of defence lawyers in Russia through targeted training and exchange of best practice. She has worked for over 20 years with a Russian human rights NGO Citizens’ Watch. A graduate of the Herzen State Pedagogical University where she read English, Maria later completed a short course on human rights law at the University of Nottingham and a Chevening Fellowship course “Government Relations with NGOs and Civil Society” at the University of Glasgow. Maria also works occasionally with foreign television companies as an interpreter, researcher and assistant producer for various documentaries on Russian history and culture.
