Elena Malysheva is a teacher of Russian language and literature, and a translator, based in London. Born and raised in Leningrad, she moved to the UK in 2003. Elena has maintained strong connections with Russia through her freelance work in translation and work in creative media. She has contributed to the production of several podcasts for BBC Radio 4, ABC and Blanchard House. Her translations into Russian have been published in Inostrannaya Literatura. She has written for Scotland-Russia Forum magazine, Granta Books, Pushkin Vertigo, Maclehose Press and other magazines and publishers.
