

Professor Bill Bowring’s guest this week on “25 Questions” is Svetlana Gannushkina, chair of the Civic Assistance Committee and director of the Migration and Law Network of the Memorial Human Rights Centre. Svetlana Gannushkina began her life as a mathematician but became well-known in Russia as a human rights defender in the 1990s. Her human rights work has been largely dedicated to helping refugees, internally displaced persons and victims of war. Until June 2012 (from 2002) Svetlana Gannushkina was a member of the Presidential Human Rights Council. The video can be viewed on YouTube and below.
